Gendarme & Cage

A couple of updates from DRAW…

As you can see from these latest images, Angela’s beautifully detailed drawing of the Gendarme is really beginning to take shape. Here are few glimpses of the work in progress as the Gendarmes spread across the paper – it’s been fascinating to watch!

Now I’m spending more time writing in my studio the posts about my work look far less exciting…luckily I have a great artist and views to make this blog look good!

This week (over the hallway), I have been researching and writing poetry and John also reintroduced me to John Cage’s Notations which I haven’t read since art school – so to read it again now, in the context of my writing practice here at DRAW, has given Cage’s work new resonance for me.
